Wines from Eastern Oregon? That's right! There's great wine being produced in the region east of the Columbia Gorge all the way to the Idaho border.

The Columbia and Walla Walla valleys (and the little Rocks District of Milton-Freewater) produce some extraordinary Oregon wines. (And yes, it's true -- most Walla Walla wines are grown in Oregon. Take that, Washington!)

Our first red is a big, bold red Super Tuscan blend (Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon) from Milton-Freewater winery Tero Estates. Our second big red, a Zinfandel, comes from Sno Road Winery in Echo (that's just outside Hermiston).

Our first white is a lovely Chardonnay from Milton-Freewater's Watermill Winery and our second white is an Albariño from Castillo De Feliciana, Oregon's northern-most winery (just a few hundreds yards south of Stateline Road).
